Evesham New Homes Bonus

New Homes Bonus Consultation - Have your say

In the current year, the Town Council has up to £362,000 of NHB funding to allocate. Local people and councillors in Evesham were asked to submit ideas for spending the NHB funds on projects that they thought would make a real difference to the town.

19 projects were submitted and, in consultation Wychavon District Council, Evesham Town Council recommended 10 projects to go forward for public consultation.

The projects put forward for consultation are:

  1. A new pedestrian crossing north of Evesham High Street in the vicinity of the St Egwin's Club.
  2. Outdoor gym equipment
  3. To refurbish and re-equip the interior of Evesham Public Hall
  4. Round Evesham Walk, make an attractive area for walking/taking into account the proximity of the river, the history associated with the town and its market garden heritage
  5. Installation of a bus shelter along the High Street adjacent to the car wash before the station
  6. Outdoor challenge play area and sensory woodland at the Vale of Evesham School
  7. HQ refurbishment including new kitchen and block paving at Hampton Scout and Guide Association
  8. Abbey Cloisters Project
  9. Enhancements to interior of Evesham Town Hall including new hand rail, flooring, projection equipment, and fire and intruder alarm
  10. Installation of defibrillators in and around Evesham

The next stage is to consult with the public to gauge what support there is for each project. In order to do this we would ask that you complete the questionnaire. The closing date for consultations is 3rd January 2017.

Please only complete one per person. These projects are not competing against each other for funding so you could support them all should you want to.
